Land Demand Results In

Thank you to all the 78 people who responded to our Residential Land Demand Survey. 63 of you would like to buy land to build a home in Dawson and 10 possibly.

We will present the full results to City Council on Monday 6th January along with our quarterly update. Please join us or watch the live broadcast on cable TV. We will post the presentation on this site that day so you can follow along.

Happy New Year!

Regional Labour Market Development Strategy

We have just completed our new Regional Labour Market Development Strategy. It lays out clear labour information and actions for us to work on with governments and our community partners as we seek to help residents, newcomers and employers succeed and strengthen our economy.

Remember, job postings can be filed and found at Klondike Outreach or full online postings can be filed at YuWin.

Our thanks to all the professionals and organizations that attended our meetings and offered their suggestions. Special thanks to all the employers that participated in our survey that was so essential to this strategy – the full results can still be viewed.

Implementation steps are already underway and we look forward to announcing our first actions very soon. You can find the full strategy here.

KDO seeks web design assistance

Klondike Development Organization is seeking expressions of interest to develop a new website for the purposes of increasing the capacity of our community to promote itself as a mining-ready centre, and develop an industry-specific online portal to increase the visibility of the array of products and services relevant to mining that are available in the region.
